Clear framework and prospects

A well-known procedure (Etudes en France / Campus France), the right to work about 20 h/week, and an APS permit of about 12 months after a master.

What you should know

The points to watch, and how GSC protects you

Credibility comes before overpromising. We also tell you what to watch out for.

Rising fees for non-EU students

Differentiated fees for 2025-2026 of about 2,895 euros/year (bachelor) and 3,941 euros/year (master). The decree of May 19, 2026 caps exemptions.

How GSC protects you: We budget your project upfront and target the right institutions and scholarships.

The visa, the most sensitive step

High refusal rates for French-speaking Africa (around 27% in 2021). The number one cause of refusal: insufficient financial means.

How GSC protects you: This is exactly what the GSC AVI secures: a recognized proof of financial means.

Tougher job market entry

Unemployment among recent non-EU arrivals is significantly higher (around 16%). Employment depends on degree level (master+), field and network.

How GSC protects you: We guide you towards high-demand fields and prepare the post-graduation step (APS).

Cost of living and paperwork

Expensive housing (especially Paris and the Paris region) and administrative delays (prefecture appointments, renewals).

How GSC protects you: Housing search, home insurance and arrival follow-up are part of our support.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Write to us.

How much do I need to justify for the student visa?

You must justify at least 880 euros/month, i.e. 10,560 euros/year. The AVI is one of the recognized means for this proof of funds.

Does GSC guarantee the visa?

No. GSC is an intermediary and support partner, not the State or the university. We secure the application documents (including the AVI) to strongly reduce the risk of refusal, but the decision belongs to the authorities.

Can I work during my studies?

Yes, about 964 h/year (around 20 h/week). After a master, the APS permit lets you look for a job for about 12 months.

Will fees increase?

For non-EU students, differentiated fees for 2025-2026 range from about 2,895 euros (bachelor) to 3,941 euros (master). The decree of May 19, 2026 gradually caps exemptions, a budget to anticipate.
